Charity Shop is an ethical pet shop by Give Me A Paw. Beyond providing high quality products with efficient delivery and excellent customer service, we also give back to Lebanese animals with 100% of our profits going towards the GMAP shelter and all its rescue, feeding, and assistance programs.
Why do we care?
1. Before being a pet store, we are first and foremost a shelter.
This means that we believe all animals are entitled to the best possible products, experiences, and care. Since we intend the GMAP shelter to be a safe haven and home for ours, we also want to replicate that experience with yours, and within your homes.
2. We believe that happy people = happy animals and vice versa!
Besides caring about the animals themselves, we care about the people looking after them. Through our online pet store, we want to improve pet care and make it more convenient so that animal lovers in Lebanon can thrive. This will also encourage more people to be kind to animals and appreciate them, as well as build a network of Lebanese animal lovers and rescuers.
3. We want to take a stand for animals and their rights in Lebanon.
Through Charity Shop, we will acquire the funding we need to expose more cruelty cases and spread the word about how animals deserve to be treated. Charity Shop will also help us to get our name out there, and this means more support for more animals.
4. It is important to us to provide an alternative to a “run of the mill” pet shop.
If you try to search “pet store Lebanon”, you will obtain many results, but Charity Shop is one of the few to not sell caged animals sourced from mills and unethical breeders. Charity Shop is also the only pet store in Lebanon where every cent goes towards animal welfare initiatives. We strongly believe that pet lovers should have options that don’t involve harming other animals in order to care for their pets.
5. We want to empower our own local community.
Lebanese people and animals are also a part of a larger community, one which we would love to give back to. Our pet shop is run by dedicated employees whose values align with ours, and who are directly involved in running GMAP. By purchasing from the Charity Shop pet store, you will be supporting local efforts going towards improving animal welfare in Lebanon, as well as the lives of Lebanese people through spaying and neutering initiatives in rural areas, help with bills for those financially unable to cover expenses for their pets, etc.
